Original antique lithograph poster from Norway, for the Danish fairytale feature Der var engang. The film was directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer, and only the latter portion of the film has survived. It is reportedly based on an operetta, that was in turn based on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew."
