One of the most notable and definitive posters of the Belle Epoque, Jules Chéret’s Bal du Moulin Rouge shows a bold, spirited scene featuring the iconic red windmill of the Moulin Rouge cabaret in Paris.

This antique lithograph was published in 1896 by Chéret’s printer, Imprimerie Chaix, in Paris. Paper measures 8 1/2 x 12 3/4 inches. Exceptional condition commensurate with age. Inks are dense and bold. Image is pristine and will frame beautifully. This artwork is presented in archival rag mat and arrives accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
